Cycling with Maxim and Julia
It's Julia's birthday and we are heading out to Nordmarka for the day. Maxim is clinging to his rusty old bike, but we found a good one for Julia. The plan was to bring cognac to drink on the trip, but it was probably better that we left the drinking for later...
Here's a profile of the route.
Pictures:
Frognerseteren, the starting point of the trip. Conveniently located near the top...
After passing the top, there's a good view over Nordmarka.
Near Tryvannstua.
Taking a break at Ullevålseter.
We were supposed to cross that river earlier...
A small bridge over the spot where Bjørnsjøen turns into a river.
Time for a break.
Maxim does not look at all exhausted after one of the worst hills on the trip...
Neeeeed waaaaater!
Bjørnsjøen - Maxim wanted a banana-eating picture...
Bjørnsjøen again.
Kikutstua - time for a well deserved lunch.
Near Kobberhaughytta - posing for the camera
Slowly working our way up to Kobberhaugbytta ...
... while we would much rather be going the opposite direction.
Maxim the Great shows us how to do it.
Taking a short rest.
Some bird at Ullevålseter - we are taking a rest before the last leg of the trip.
Near Songsvann - we are almost home.
Maxim is looking very energetic.
It's past 10 pm and we are exhausted and hungry; dinner and cognac is served!
